Each of the 45 unique activities in the book is designed to teach a different word family - from searching a word collage for and family words to a hidden message puzzle utilizing ill family words.

An extensive word list containing all the phonograms taught in this book is included for use with extended learning. Consider dividing the class into small circle groups. Using a ball, ask students to say or spell a word from a specified word family before passing the ball on to the next child.
