Perfect for beginning readers and even pre-readers. Each word is of a simple object that all children can identify from the picture. Since they already know what the word is by looking at the picture, they can therefor 'read' the word and begin to make connections between the letters and the way the word sounds. For those who are not yet ready for phonics, they can strengthen their letter knowledge by finding the letters that match the ones on the word.
